Onno has been working as a tax advisor at Meijburg since 2013 and has nearly fifteen years of experience as a tax lawyer. His clients are active in a variety of sectors, including renewable energy/energy transition, the financial sector and real estate. Onno is also part of Meijburg’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax team, where he provides tax support in relation to various transactions, restructurings and (re)financings. In this capacity, he advises on matters such as deal support, post-deal integration and tax optimisation.Onno is furthermore a member of the ESG team, in which he advises various clients on issues related to the current energy transition. This includes clients active in wind energy, solar energy and energy storage.Onno specializes in complex international tax matters arising from cross-border transactions of multinationals and investment funds. In doing so, he draws on his international experience gained during his secondment in 2013 to KPMG Meijburg Caribbean in Curaçao and later to KPMG US in New York. In 2017, Onno was also part of Meijburg’s Netherlands Tax Center, based in New York.
